Iñigo Martínez Returns to Barcelona Training After Knee Injury Recovery

FC Barcelona defender Iñigo Martínez has resumed team training following a recent knee injury sustained during the match against Atlético Madrid on March 16, 2025. Martínez experienced swelling in his right knee and, after medical evaluation, was withdrawn from the Spanish national team squad to focus on recovery under the club's supervision.

The injury was diagnosed as parameniscitis—an inflammation of the inner meniscus. Fortunately, it was deemed minor, and Martínez has been recuperating successfully. His timely return to training is a significant boost for Barcelona, especially with fellow center-backs Ronald Araújo and Pau Cubarsí currently sidelined due to injuries.

Martínez's availability is particularly crucial ahead of the upcoming La Liga fixture against Osasuna on March 27, 2025. With limited options in central defense, his experience and readiness to play are invaluable assets for the team as they navigate this challenging period.
