Kobbie Mainoo Poised to Reject Manchester United Contract and Seek Move Abroad

Kobbie Mainoo, a 19-year-old midfielder for Manchester United, is reportedly poised to decline a contract extension in favor of exploring opportunities abroad. Having joined United's academy at age six, Mainoo has risen through the ranks to make 60 first-team appearances and earn 10 caps for England.
Despite two years remaining on his current contract, Mainoo's representatives have been in discussions with the club, seeking to increase his weekly wage from £20,000 to better reflect his contributions. However, negotiations have yet to yield an agreement, prompting Mainoo to consider a move overseas.

Financial considerations are also influencing this situation. Manchester United is reportedly open to selling Mainoo, who is valued at approximately £70 million, to bolster their finances for future signings. The club has been implementing cost-cutting measures, including job reductions, following Sir Jim Ratcliffe's investment.

While Chelsea has expressed interest in Mainoo, the midfielder is reportedly not considering a move to another Premier League club at this time. His focus appears to be on exploring opportunities abroad, which could provide a fresh challenge and further his development.
