Inter Miami secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Atlanta United at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday night. The match began with Atlanta's Emmanuel Latte Lath scoring in the 11th minute, giving the hosts an early lead. Inter Miami's captain, Lionel Messi, responded in the 20th minute with a deft chip over goalkeeper Brad Guzan, marking his first goal of the 2025 MLS season.

Despite multiple attempts from Messi, Guzan's six saves kept the score level for much of the game. However, in the 89th minute, substitute Fafà Picault headed in a cross from Jordi Alba, clinching the win for Inter Miami.

This victory maintains Inter Miami's unbeaten start to the season, bringing their record to three wins and one draw. Atlanta United, meanwhile, suffered their first home loss of the season and will look to rebound in their upcoming match against FC Cincinnati.

Inter Miami's next fixture is scheduled for March 29, when they will host the Philadelphia Union.
