Gündogan, who returned to Manchester City six months ago after a year with FC Barcelona, has been instrumental in the team's midfield dynamics. 

Guardiola emphasized the importance of retaining experienced players like Gündogan and Bernardo Silva, stating, "We need Gündo, Bernardo... we will need players."
