Two Potential Dates Identified for Barcelona’s Postponed Clash with Osasuna

The La Liga match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna, scheduled for Saturday evening at Montjuïc, was postponed due to the sudden passing of Dr. Carles Miñarro, a member of Barcelona's medical staff. Dr. Miñarro, aged 53, was found deceased in the team's hotel prior to the match. The decision to postpone the game was made shortly before kickoff, with approximately 15,000 spectators already present in the stadium.

Rescheduling the fixture poses challenges due to FC Barcelona's congested calendar, as the team remains active in La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.

Two potential dates have been identified for the match against Osasuna:

1. Weekend of April 26-27: This option is viable only if Barcelona does not progress to the Copa del Rey final, which is set for April 26. The team's advancement depends on the outcome of their semifinal against Atlético Madrid, currently tied 4-4 on aggregate, with the return leg scheduled at the Metropolitano on April 2.

2. Week of May 19-25: Should Barcelona continue their involvement in other competitions, the match could be played during this week, specifically on Wednesday, May 21. This date falls between their fixtures against Villarreal and Athletic Club and precedes the final La Liga matchday on May 25.

The final decision on the rescheduled date will be made by La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in consultation with both clubs, taking into account the teams' commitments and the overall fixture schedule.
