Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding goalkeeper André Onana's position in the starting lineup following recent performances.
Onana was notably absent from the squad during United's recent Premier League fixture against Newcastle United. This decision came after the goalkeeper's errors contributed to a 2-2 draw in the Europa League quarter-final first leg against Olympique Lyon. In Onana's absence, Altay Bayındır was handed his Premier League debut.
Addressing the media ahead of the crucial second leg at Old Trafford, Amorim stated: “Onana vs Lyon? You guys have to wait, I’m going to choose the best starting XI for the next one.”
