Hansi Flick has addressed the much-anticipated return of Marc-André ter Stegen following his recovery from a serious knee injury sustained earlier this season.
Flick remarked, “Ter Stegen is ready. We have to talk about what we want to do.” He added, “So we have to wait and decide when the right time is for him to come back.”
Ter Stegen, who underwent surgery for a ruptured patella tendon in September, has recently rejoined training with the squad. Despite his progress, Flick faces a challenging decision, as Wojciech Szczęsny has performed admirably in the German international's absence. Reports suggest that Flick intends to maintain Szczęsny as the starting goalkeeper for the remainder of the season, ensuring stability across competitions.
