Bruno Fernandes demonstrated his commitment to Manchester United's supporters by staying outside Old Trafford for over two hours after the team's dramatic 5-4 victory over Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final second leg on April 17, 2025. 

The midfielder took time to meet fans, sign autographs, and pose for photographs, a gesture that was widely praised on social media.

The match itself was an emotional rollercoaster. United initially led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot. However, Lyon fought back in the second half, equalizing through Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagliafico. Despite Tolisso receiving a yellow-red card, Lyon took the lead in extra time with goals from Rayan Cherki and Alexandre Lacazette.
