Ipswich took an early lead through Julio Enciso, who found the back of the net in the 19th minute. Ben Johnson doubled the visitors' advantage in the 30th minute, leaving Chelsea with a mountain to climb.
However, the Blues responded strongly in the second half. Axel Tuanzebe pulled one back in the 46th minute, and Jadon Sancho leveled the score with a well-taken goal in the 78th minute.
