Eduardo Camavinga has suffered a complete tear of the left adductor tendon, which will keep him out for the remainder of the 2024–25 season.
The injury occurred late in Real Madrid’s 1–0 LaLiga victory over Getafe, when Camavinga landed awkwardly after a challenge. Despite briefly trying to continue, he was eventually forced off, leaving Real Madrid with ten men on the pitch.
Medical examinations confirmed the severity of the injury. Although the club noted that his recovery is “pending evolution,” reports indicate he is expected to be sidelined for approximately three to four months.
This means Camavinga will miss several crucial matches, including the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26, the last five LaLiga games, and the FIFA Club World Cup taking place between June 14 and July 13 in the United States. His absence is a significant blow to Real Madrid, especially considering his importance in both midfield and left-back roles.
With other key players like David Alaba and Ferland Mendy also injured, manager Carlo Ancelotti is likely to turn to Fran GarcÃa to fill the gap at left-back for the upcoming final.
This marks Camavinga's fourth injury of the season, during which he has already missed 29 of the team's 65 matches due to physical setbacks. While surgery is not currently being considered, his recovery will be closely monitored, and there is concern that he might not be fully fit for the start of the 2025–26 campaign.
