The Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary committee accepted Real Madrid's appeal, which included video evidence showing that Bellingham did not approach the referee aggressively or require restraint by teammates, contradicting the original match report. As a result, he faces no suspension and is eligible to play in upcoming matches.
Lucas Vázquez, however, has been suspended for two matches in the Copa del Rey. The decision follows his actions during the final, where he entered the pitch from the bench to protest referee decisions at the end of the match.
Antonio Rüdiger has received a six-match suspension after being sent off for throwing an ice pack toward the referee and verbally abusing him during extra time of the final. Although the object did not make contact, the act was classified as mild violence toward officials, warranting a ban under Article 101 of the disciplinary code.
Rüdiger has since issued a public apology for his behavior. The suspension applies to both league and cup matches, though Rüdiger is currently out injured following meniscus surgery, which is expected to sideline him for about six weeks.
