Although he initially walked off the pitch, medical tests later revealed a serious injury that will keep him out for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. This effectively ends his season and rules him out of the FIFA Club World Cup. This marks Mendy's fourth injury this season, after previous issues with his tibia, quadriceps, and hamstring.

Eduardo Camavinga suffered a complete tear of his left adductor tendon during Real Madrid's 1–0 LaLiga win over Getafe. The injury will sideline him for about three months, meaning he will miss the rest of the season and the Club World Cup. It's his third significant injury this season, following earlier knee and hamstring problems.

These latest injuries add to Real Madrid's growing list of defensive absentees, which includes Antonio Rüdiger (recovering from meniscus surgery), David Alaba (meniscus injury), and Dani Carvajal (ACL injury). With only one natural centre-back, Raúl Asencio, available, manager Carlo Ancelotti may be forced to rely on midfielders like Aurélien Tchouaméni to fill defensive roles. As the season nears its conclusion, Real Madrid now faces mounting challenges in both LaLiga and the Club World Cup due to this injury crisis.
