Rashford sustained the injury during the first half of Villa's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City earlier this week. Although he continued playing after halftime, he was eventually substituted in the 76th minute. Emery stated that the injury could potentially sideline Rashford for the remainder of the season.
Rashford, who joined Villa on loan from Manchester United in January, has been a key figure in their attacking lineup, starting nine of the last 12 matches, including both legs of the Champions League quarterfinal against Paris Saint-Germain. In his absence, Ollie Watkins led the line for Villa at Wembley. Despite Watkins' efforts, Villa struggled offensively and were defeated 3-0 by Crystal Palace, with goals from Eberechi Eze and a brace from Ismaïla Sarr propelling Palace into the FA Cup final.
Emery expressed hope that Rashford might recover in time for the remaining Premier League fixtures, as Villa continue to chase a top-five finish and potential Champions League qualification. However, he acknowledged that Rashford's availability remains uncertain and will be assessed on a match-by-match basis.
