Prince William, a dedicated Aston Villa supporter, was seen at the Parc des Princes ahead of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa. Before kick-off, the Prince of Wales made a notable appearance in the stadium tunnel, warmly greeting and shaking hands with several players, including Marcus Rashford, Marco Asensio, and André Onana.
The match ended in a 3-1 victory for PSG. Aston Villa had taken an early lead through Morgan Rogers, but the French side mounted a strong comeback with goals from Désiré Doué, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nuno Mendes, giving them a two-goal advantage heading into the second leg.
Prince William's presence continues to highlight his long-standing support for Aston Villa. He had also attended the team’s Round of 16 fixture against Club Brugge at Villa Park, where he celebrated their progression to the last eight. Following that triumph, he had expressed his intention to be present for the club’s away fixture in Paris.
Aston Villa will now look to overturn the deficit in the return leg scheduled for April 15 at Villa Park, as they seek to keep their European campaign alive.
