Celta Vigo Celebrates Return to European Football with Citywide Festivities
After an eight-year hiatus from European competitions, RC Celta de Vigo has secured qualification for the UEFA Europa League, marking a significant milestone in the club's history. The achievement was celebrated with exuberant festivities throughout the city of Vigo, reflecting the deep connection between the team and its supporters. 

The celebrations commenced with an open-top bus parade, during which the team traversed the city streets, culminating at the city hall. There, Mayor Abel Caballero joined the festivities, donning the team's jersey and announcing plans to erect a statue in honour of club captain Iago Aspas .

The journey to European qualification was sealed with a 2-1 victory over Getafe, featuring goals from Borja Iglesias and Iago Aspas. This win not only ended the club's European drought but also underscored the effective leadership of head coach Claudio Giráldez, who has been instrumental in integrating homegrown talent into the first team .

The celebrations continued in Praza de América, where thousands of fans gathered to express their support. The event featured the playing of the club's centenary anthem, composed by C. Tangana, further enhancing the festive atmosphere .
