Martin Zubimendi Set to Join Arsenal as €60m Deal Nears Completion

Martin Zubimendi's transfer to Arsenal is reportedly close to completion and is expected to be officially confirmed in the coming weeks. Arsenal are said to be ready to trigger his €60 million (£51 million) release clause, with personal terms already agreed between the player and the club.

Although the deal has not yet been officially announced, reports describe it as "virtually completed," with Arsenal possibly opting to pay slightly above the clause to negotiate more favorable payment terms. Zubimendi, a 26-year-old Euro 2024 winner, has been a long-term target for the Gunners.

His arrival is intended to strengthen the midfield, especially as the contracts of Jorginho and Thomas Partey are due to expire this summer. Despite Zubimendi’s past statements of loyalty to Real Sociedad, he is now expected to join Arsenal, reportedly persuaded by Mikel Arteta’s project and the club’s ambitions.
