Raphinha Signs New Contract with Barcelona Until 2028 Following Stellar Season

FC Barcelona has officially announced the contract extension of Brazilian winger Raphinha, securing his services until 30 June 2028. This decision follows a remarkable 2024–25 season in which Raphinha played a pivotal role in the club's domestic treble triumph, contributing 34 goals and 25 assists across 56 appearances in all competitions.  

Since his arrival from Leeds United in 2022 for a reported €58 million, Raphinha has evolved into a cornerstone of Barcelona's attacking lineup. Under the guidance of manager Hansi Flick, he has not only enhanced his offensive output but also embraced a leadership role within the squad, earning the captain's armband.  

The extension aligns with the club's strategic vision to retain key talent and build a squad capable of sustained success. Sporting Director Deco, instrumental in the renewal process, emphasized the importance of Raphinha's commitment to the team's future endeavors.  

Expressing his gratitude, Raphinha stated, "Feeling like one of you for another year is very special." He also conveyed his aspiration to conclude his career at Barcelona, highlighting his dedication to the club's values and objectives.
