Scott McTominay has been named the 2024–25 Serie A Most Valuable Player, capping a transformative debut season with Napoli that culminated in the club's fourth league title. The 28-year-old midfielder, who transferred from Manchester United for £25 million in August 2024, played a pivotal role in Napoli's success under manager Antonio Conte.

McTominay's season was highlighted by a spectacular bicycle-kick goal in a decisive 2–0 victory over Cagliari, securing the Scudetto for Napoli. Throughout the campaign, he amassed 12 goals and six assists in 34 league appearances, surpassing Denis Law's record for the most goals by a Scottish player in a single Serie A season.

His dynamic performances, particularly in April where he netted five goals in four matches, earned him the Serie A Player of the Month award, making him the first Scotsman to receive this honor. Fans affectionately dubbed him "McFratm," blending his name with the Neapolitan term for "brother," reflecting his integration into the team and city.

Manager Antonio Conte praised McTominay as a "complete player," noting his significant development and leadership on the field. McTominay's contributions were instrumental in Napoli's title run, especially following the mid-season departure of key player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

This remarkable season not only redefined McTominay's career but also solidified his status as a central figure in Napoli's storied history.
