Ananda Lewis, former MTV VJ, dies at 52
Ananda Lewis, the renowned television personality and former MTV VJ, has passed away at the age of 52 after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.

Lewis, who gained prominence in the late 1990s as a host on MTV’s Total Request Live and Hot Zone, was celebrated for her charisma and ability to connect with audiences. She later hosted The Ananda Lewis Show and worked as a correspondent for The Insider.  

Her sister, Lakshmi, confirmed the news of her passing in a heartfelt social media post, stating, "She’s free, and in His heavenly arms. Lord, rest her soul."  

Lewis had publicly shared her breast cancer diagnosis in 2020, revealing that she had initially avoided mammograms due to concerns about radiation exposure. Despite undergoing various treatments, her cancer progressed to stage 4.  

She is survived by her son and other loved ones, who are mourning the loss of a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
