London, 26 June 2025 – Arsenal FC has confirmed that 18‑year‑old academy graduate Myles Lewis‑Skelly has committed his future to the club, signing a long-term contract that extends until 2030
Lewis‑Skelly emerged as one of Arsenal’s standout performers during the 2024–25 season. Initially introduced into the first team in September, he made 39 appearances across all competitions, predominantly filling the role of an inverted left‑back under Mikel Arteta’s guidance . His breakthrough season featured key milestones—he became the youngest Arsenal player to start a UEFA Champions League match since 2011 and scored his first Premier League goal in the club’s emphatic 5–1 victory over Manchester City .

International recognition followed swiftly. Lewis‑Skelly earned his England debut in March 2025, scoring within 20 minutes and securing “man‑of‑the‑match” honours against Albania—becoming the youngest England player to net on his senior debut .

Off the pitch, the deal was brokered by his mother and agent, Marcia Lewis, ensuring Lewis-Skelly is now among the best-compensated teenagers in world football .

Reflecting on his new deal, Lewis‑Skelly stated:
“I’m so proud and happy… I’m a fan and it’s like a dream come true. I’ve still got a lot of years ahead of me… I want a legacy. I want to win everything there is to win in the game… whilst being a person that’s always learning and stays grounded.”

Arsenal’s board, pleased with the deal, emphasized that this extension reflects their commitment to nurturing “something special” within their academy ranks .

The club is also in advanced contract discussions with other promising academy prospects—Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Ethan Nwaneri—and Leandro Trossard .
