Cole Palmer Takes Over Chelsea’s Iconic No. 10 Shirt

Chelsea has officially announced that Cole Palmer will wear the No. 10 jersey for the 2025/26 season, starting with the FIFA Club World Cup. Palmer, who previously wore the No. 20 shirt since joining from Manchester City in September 2023, will debut his new number when Chelsea faces Los Angeles FC in Atlanta on June 16.

The No. 10 shirt was previously held by Mykhailo Mudryk, who has been suspended following a failed doping test. Chelsea confirmed the switch in an official statement but did not mention Mudryk. The club also reminded supporters that squad numbers remain subject to change until the summer transfer window closes.

Palmer joins a prestigious list of Chelsea players who have worn the No. 10 jersey, including Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Joe Cole, and Ray Wilkins. His promotion to the iconic number reflects his growing influence within the squad.
