Ex Man City Star Aleksandar Kolarov Appointed as Assistant Coach to Cristian Chivu at Inter Milan

Aleksandar Kolarov is set to join Inter Milan’s coaching staff as the new senior assistant coach under recently appointed head coach Cristian Chivu.

The former Serbia left-back—who amassed nearly 450 career appearances in Serie A, the Premier League, and international football—has been overseeing Serbia’s U21 side and previously earned five caps managing that group .

The move, confirmed today by respected reporter Fabrizio Romano, marks a notable step in Kolarov’s transition from player to coach:"⚫️ Aleksandar Kolarov will be new second coach at Inter as main assistant for manager Cristian Chivu. " 

In his new role, Kolarov will serve as Chivu’s primary right-hand, bringing extensive first-team and coaching experience—combined with his leadership at the national U21 level—to bolster Inter’s backroom team ahead of the upcoming season.
