Rodrygo Goes has addressed recent speculation surrounding his future at Real Madrid by posting a clear message on Instagram that read simply: “Happy!” The Brazilian forward used the platform to reaffirm his commitment to the Spanish club, putting an end to swirling rumours linking him with a summer move to the Premier League.
Amid reports suggesting interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea, Rodrygo also took the opportunity to address fans directly in his Instagram story: “Thank you for all your messages and concerns. I’ll be back soon. Stop making things up.”
His comments come after suggestions in Spanish media that he was unhappy with his role under Carlo Ancelotti and had refused to participate in recent matches—claims the 23-year-old firmly denied.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Rodrygo’s situation has not changed and no decision has been made about his future. With Xabi Alonso set to take over as manager next season, Rodrygo could see a shift in his role, depending on the new coach's tactical preferences.
Ancelotti, addressing the player’s absence from recent games including El Clásico, clarified that it was due to physical discomfort and not any disciplinary issue:
“When you’re not feeling well… nothing more.”
Despite increasing speculation and betting odds favouring a move to Manchester City, Rodrygo’s public response signals his current focus is on recovery and continuing his journey with Real Madrid.
For now, the message from the player is clear—he remains committed to Los Blancos, and any talk of an exit appears premature.
