Bellingham, a product of Birmingham City’s youth system, emerged as a key figure during his two-season spell at Sunderland—amassing 11 goals and playing a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League via the 2025 Championship play‑off final .

He will don the number 77 shirt at Dortmund and is poised to make his debut at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, having withdrawn from England’s under‑21 Euro squad to join Dortmund’s tournament squad .

Speaking at his unveiling, Bellingham said, “I’m very happy to be a Borussia Dortmund player now and to fight for titles with this great club. I want to play my part in celebrating success with these great fans here and will work on myself and with the team every day. And I’m very happy that I’ll be wearing the black and yellow jersey at the FIFA Club World Cup.”
