Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Algerian left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five-year contract.
The highly-rated defender joins Pep Guardiola’s squad in a deal reportedly worth £31 million, potentially rising to £36.3 million with performance-related add-ons.
Aït-Nouri, who initially arrived at Wolves on loan from Angers in 2020 before making the move permanent, has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most promising full-backs. His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively made him a key target for City, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup later this year.
With this signing, City aim to bolster their defensive options as they prepare for a demanding season across multiple competitions. Aït-Nouri is expected to make his debut in the upcoming Club World Cup, where City will face Club Leon in their opening match on June 18.
