Mathys Tel is set to leave Bayern Munich and join Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal, with an agreement reportedly close to being finalized. The 20-year-old French striker spent the second half of the 2024-2025 season on loan at Spurs, making 20 appearances and scoring twice in the Premier League. Tottenham will pay a fee of €35 million to sign Tel permanently, in addition to the €10 million loan fee, totaling €45 million.

New Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou had reportedly wanted to keep him but Thomas Frank isn't the new boss, Ange Postecoglou is still the boss and he wants Tel to stay and has confidence in him. Tel's move to Tottenham would mark a significant development in the club's attacking lineup, adding fresh talent and competition to the squad. Bayern Munich had decided not to keep Tel after signing Harry Kane, and they're looking to make a profit from his departure.
