Social activist Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, recently visited Yelewata in Benue State, where over 200 people were reportedly killed in a brutal attack by suspected armed herders. The incident occurred on Friday night and left a trail of death and destruction, with many residents displaced.The attack is believed to have been carried out by Fulani herdsmen, although some sources suggest it might have been perpetrated by the Lakurawa sect from the Northwest region. The victims included internally displaced persons (IDPs) and security operatives, with five soldiers and one civil defense officer among those killed.
Over 200 people were reportedly killed, with more than 26 people hospitalized. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and concern, with many calling for increased security measures to protect vulnerable communities.
