According to court documents submitted to a Georgia court on July 1, 2025, Amber cited that their marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that there are “no prospects for reconciliation.” She is seeking an equitable division of marital assets and property, along with spousal support.
The pair made their relationship public in December 2024 when they announced their engagement on social media. The couple exchanged vows on January 11, 2025, in an intimate ceremony. Amber later shared that she had changed her stage name to avoid confusion with celebrity model Amber Rose.
In addition to the divorce filing, a mutual restraining order was entered into on July 2, 2025, one day after Amber’s petition. She has requested privacy during the proceedings, expressing uncertainty over how the filing became public.
Amber, 35, is known for her work on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” (Seasons 11–12) and released an EP titled Amy’s World in 2023. She has also authored a children’s book and established a charity supporting unhoused individuals in Atlanta.
Dwight Howard, 39, concluded an 18-season NBA career—highlighted by a 2020 championship with the Los Angeles Lakers, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and eight All-Star appearances. He is currently playing in Ice Cube’s Big3 League with the L.A. Riot.
