The Spanish defender, who recently completed his move from Valencia, joined his new teammates in Southeast Asia as part of the club’s pre-season preparations.
After a short delay due to paperwork following his arrival in London on July 15, the €18 million transfer — with an additional €4 million in potential add-ons — was finalized earlier this week. Mosquera has now fully integrated into the squad ahead of friendly matches scheduled in Singapore and Hong Kong.
He was seen training alongside fellow Spaniards Martin Zubimendi and David Raya, indicating a smooth transition into the team. Footage released by AFTV showed him taking part in drills during his first session with the squad.
The 21-year-old centre-back has signed a five-year contract with Arsenal, becoming the club’s fifth signing of the summer following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, and Noni Madueke.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly views Mosquera as an intelligent and versatile defender who can play both centrally and at right-back, adding depth and tactical flexibility to the squad. He is expected to provide competition for William Saliba and Gabriel, particularly as the club navigates injury concerns in defence.
While it’s unclear if Mosquera will feature in upcoming friendlies against Newcastle and Tottenham, his involvement in training suggests he is already adjusting to Arsenal’s tactical approach ahead of the new season.
