Suleiman Aliyu Garga, Special Assistant on Content Creation to Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, three days after seeking treatment for an intense toothache.
He was admitted to Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital for a dental procedure. However, complications emerged when the surgical site began bleeding, and he tragically passed away less than 24 hours after the operation.
Garga’s burial took place on Sunday morning, July 20, following Sallah prayers at Modibbo Zailani Mosque. His interment at the Yolde Pate Muslim Cemetery in Yola adhered to Islamic rites.
Governor Fintiri described his aide’s death as “sudden and heartbreaking.” Garga had played a central role in managing the governor’s media presence and content strategy.
