Kyle Walker Joins Burnley on Two-Year Deal from Manchester City
Veteran England right-back Kyle Walker has officially signed a two‑year contract with newly promoted Premier League side Burnley, following the expiration of his contract at Manchester City. The move, potentially worth up to £5 million including add-ons, marks the end of Walker’s eight-year tenure at City, where he amassed 17 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League .
Walker, 35, arrives at Turf Moor eager to contribute to Burnley’s ambition under manager Scott Parker, his former teammate at Tottenham and on the England national team . Burnley secured promotion with an impressive 100‑point Championship campaign, and Walker described Parker’s vision as a key factor in his decision: *“When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans… it was an opportunity I jumped at”* .
Walker spent the latter half of last season on loan at AC Milan, making 11 Serie A appearances. Despite interest from the Italian giants, no permanent deal materialized, prompting his return to England .
With 96 England caps, over 400 Premier League appearances, and an extensive trophy haul, Walker brings both leadership and elite defensive experience to a squad preparing for top-flight football .
