Luis Díaz Joins Bayern Munich in Big-Money Move from Liverpool
Luis Díaz has officially signed for Bayern Munich from Liverpool FC in a major transfer reportedly worth €75 million, including potential bonuses. The Colombian international has agreed to a four-year contract with the German giants, keeping him at the club until June 2029, and will wear the number 14 shirt.
Bayern's management hailed Díaz as a world-class talent, with CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen describing him as “one of the best left wingers in the Premier League.” Sporting director Max Eberl also praised his technical skill, pace, and goal-scoring threat, adding that his arrival adds significant depth and experience to the squad.

The 28-year-old winger joins as Bayern’s third most expensive signing of all time, behind Harry Kane and Lucas Hernández. His signing comes as Bayern prepare for a new era under coach Vincent Kompany, with the club strengthening its attack following recent injuries and the expected departure of Leroy Sané.

Díaz expressed his excitement about the move, calling Bayern “one of the best clubs in the world,” and said he looks forward to competing for trophies and showcasing his abilities in the Bundesliga.

During his time at Liverpool, Díaz made 148 appearances, scored 41 goals, and registered 23 assists across all competitions. He played a key role in helping the Reds win several trophies, including the Premier League, FA Cup, Community Shield, and two Carabao Cups.

His final season at Anfield was one of his most productive, netting 17 goals, including a Champions League hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen, and contributing to Liverpool's Premier League title win. His move now ranks as one of the most lucrative sales in Liverpool’s history, behind only Philippe Coutinho and Luis Suárez.
