Manchester United Representatives Pay Tribute at Anfield Memorial for Diogo Jota and André Silva

Manchester United manager Rúben Amorim, along with Portuguese internationals Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, made a heartfelt visit to Anfield to honour the memory of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva. The two brothers tragically passed away earlier this month following a fatal car accident that shocked the football world.
The United trio laid flowers at the memorial site located outside the Main Stand at Anfield, where fans and members of the football community have gathered in recent days to pay their respects. Their presence was a poignant gesture, reflecting the unity and compassion that transcends club rivalries, particularly given Jota’s significance at Liverpool and his close ties to his fellow Portuguese players.
Rúben Amorim, who recently took charge at Manchester United, joined Fernandes and Dalot in observing a moment of silence at the site. All three have previously shared either national team or personal connections with the late forward and his family.
Liverpool FC has also confirmed plans to retire Jota’s No. 20 shirt in a lasting tribute to his impact at the club and his legacy in the game.
