Eberechi Eze Joins Arsenal Training and Eyes Debut
Eberechi Eze has officially joined Arsenal and was seen participating in training with the first team at London Colney today, marking an exciting return to his boyhood club.
Having emerged from Arsenal’s youth academy before his release at age 13, Eze worked his way through QPR and Crystal Palace—where he starred before his summer move. At Palace, he achieved over 150 appearances and scored the winning goal in the 2025 FA Cup final. On 23 August 2025, Arsenal secured his transfer for an initial £60 million, potentially rising to £67.5 million with add-ons. He signed a four-year deal and was handed the iconic No. 10 shirt.
With key players like Kai Havertz sidelined due to injury, and Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard also ruled out or doubtful, Eze’s midfield addition arrives at a pivotal moment.
When Will He Make His Arsenal Debut?
Eze completed his medical and formal presentation ahead of Arsenal’s 5–0 victory over Leeds United on 23 August, but was not registered in time to meet the Premier League’s 12 pm registration deadline that same day.
As a result, he was ineligible for the Leeds clash. The earliest he can realistically make his debut is the upcoming fixture against Premier League champions Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 31 August 2025.
This timeline affords him a crucial week to integrate with the squad and adapt to Mikel Arteta’s tactical system before being called into action.
