📝 Ethan Nwaneri Commits Future to Arsenal with New Long-Term Contract
Arsenal Football Club has officially announced that teenage midfielder Ethan Nwaneri has signed a new long-term contract, reinforcing the club’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and securing the future of one of England’s brightest prospects.
Nwaneri, who turned 18 in March, first made headlines in 2022 when he became the youngest player to feature in a Premier League match at just 15 years and 181 days. Since then, his development has been meteoric. Last season, he made 37 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and earning accolades including Arsenal’s Goal of the Month and Player of the Month for February.
The midfielder’s standout performances included goals in the League Cup against Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End, a Premier League strike against Nottingham Forest, and a Champions League goal versus Girona. His versatility has also been a key asset, with Nwaneri expressing readiness to play across the front five positions.
Speaking on the new deal, Nwaneri said:
“Signing this contract means everything to me. I see this as my first real season in men’s senior football, as part of the squad in the changing room. I’m so excited for what I can bring to the team. I want to help us win as much as possible and bring happiness and glory to the club. This is where I feel at home.”
