Kane and Díaz Fire Bayern Munich to Record 10th German Super Cup Triumph

Bayern Munich have kicked off their season with silverware, edging Stuttgart 2–1 at the MHP Arena to lift the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup for a record 10th time.
Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 18th minute, latching onto Michael Olise’s clever pass before slotting low into the far corner. Stuttgart pushed hard for an equaliser, but Bayern’s new signing Luis Díaz marked his competitive debut in style — rising to head home Serge Gnabry’s cross in the 77th minute. The Colombian celebrated with a video‑game‑inspired tribute to his late former teammate Diogo Jota.

Jamie Leweling pulled one back for Stuttgart in stoppage time, but Manuel Neuer’s earlier saves had already ensured Bayern’s grip on the trophy. The match, renamed this year in honour of club legend Franz Beckenbauer, sets the tone for Bayern’s Bundesliga opener against Leipzig next week, while Stuttgart travel to Union Berlin.
