Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has taken a major step in his personal life by proposing to his longtime girlfriend, Shireen Erin Lyannda Raymond, in a romantic setting ahead of the new football season.
The 23-year-old Belgian international shared the heartwarming moment on social media, where he was seen dressed in white alongside Shireen in a beautifully decorated room filled with flowers and candles.
In the emotional video, Doku expressed his feelings, saying:
“You’re my girlfriend, but I don’t want you to stay my girlfriend. I want you to be my future wife.”
Shireen, clearly moved by the gesture, responded with surprise and joy:
“Where did you get this from? I’m actually shaking. Where did this come from?”
Doku then went down on one knee and proposed, calling her by name and sealing the emotional moment with a kiss after she said yes.
