🚨 Romelu Lukaku Ruled Out for Three Months with Serious Thigh Injury

Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku has been sidelined for at least three months following a significant thigh injury sustained during a pre-season friendly against Olympiacos. The club confirmed that medical examinations revealed a high-grade tear to the rectus femoris muscle in his left thigh, an injury that may require surgical intervention.

The 32-year-old Belgian international was instrumental in Napoli’s Serie A title-winning campaign last season, contributing 14 goals and 10 assists. His absence presents a major setback for manager Antonio Conte as the team prepares to defend their title.

Lukaku has already begun rehabilitation and is undergoing further consultation to determine the best course of treatment. With the striker expected to be out until at least November, Napoli are actively exploring the transfer market for a temporary replacement. Among the names being considered are Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, Roma’s Artem Dovbyk, and Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic.

Napoli kick off their Serie A campaign this weekend against newly promoted Sassuolo, but they will do so without one of their most influential players.
