Renowned Nigerian music video director ThankGod Omori Jesam, popularly known as TG Omori, has opened up about the staggering cost of his recent health battle, revealing that his medical expenses over the past six months could have purchased two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a C300 sedan.
Omori, who underwent a kidney transplant in August 2024, shared the revelation via his official X (formerly Twitter) account. He reflected on the financial toll of managing kidney disease, stating, “Saw my 6 months health expenses, Omo 2 GLE and one small C300 bro! Health is wealth true true.”
He disclosed that dialysis sessions cost over ₦100,000 each, with some patients requiring up to three sessions weekly. This amounts to more than ₦300,000 per week—an overwhelming figure when compared to Nigeria’s minimum wage of ₦70,000. “Knowing this fact brought me tears in the hospital 'cause no hope for the common man,” he wrote.
