Galatasaray secured Osimhen in a €75 million deal, marking a new record for Turkish football. The payment is structured in installments, with €40 million paid upfront and the rest due by 2026. As part of the agreement, Napoli retains 10% of any future transfer profit, and a clause prevents Galatasaray from selling him to Italian clubs for the next two years.
Osimhen’s contract includes a net salary of €15 million per season. He is also expected to earn additional income through loyalty bonuses and image rights, potentially bringing his total annual compensation to around €21 million.
He rejoined teammates at Galatasaray’s Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay facilities on Friday, August 1, just hours after his move was announced. Under the guidance of head coach Okan Buruk, he participated in warmups, tactical drills, passing exercises, and small-sided games as the team prepares for a preseason friendly against Lazio.
During his 2024–25 loan spell, Osimhen scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions, helping Galatasaray secure both the league title and domestic cup. He also won the Süper Lig Golden Boot with 26 league goals, setting a new record for a foreign player in a single season at the club.
Arriving in Istanbul on Wednesday night, Osimhen received a warm welcome from thousands of fans at the airport. He has expressed a strong emotional connection to the club, referring to Galatasaray as “a big family” and noting how much he values the support from the fans.
Osimhen and fellow new signing Leroy Sané are expected to be presented ahead of Galatasaray’s upcoming friendly against Lazio at Rams Park. Expectations are high as the club prepares for the 2025–26 season with a strengthened squad.
