Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been diagnosed with a muscle injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg, sustained during last night's UEFA Champions League clash against Marseille. The England international was forced off early in the match, raising concerns over his availability for upcoming fixtures, including a highly anticipated showdown against Liverpool on November 4.
Despite the setback, Real Madrid secured a 2–1 victory over Marseille at the Santiago Bernabéu. Goals from Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham sealed the win, keeping Madrid’s campaign on track.

Other key Champions League results from September 16 included SL Benfica’s 2–3 loss to Qarabag, with standout performances from Musa Gurbanli and Rafa Silva. Tottenham edged Villarreal 1–0 thanks to a goal from Heung-Min Son. Juventus and Dortmund played out a thrilling 4–4 draw, featuring goals from Dusan Vlahović and Marco Reus. PSV Eindhoven fell 1–3 to Union Gilloise, with Cameron Puertas finding the net for the Belgian side. Arsenal defeated Athletic Bilbao 2–0, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus on the scoresheet.

Alexander-Arnold shared a message with fans: “Will be back as soon as possible. Stronger than before. See you soon, Madridistas.” Real Madrid’s medical team will continue to monitor his recovery, with further updates expected in the coming days.
