Reacting to the honour, Haaland said he was grateful to everyone who supported him, adding that the recognition was a reflection of the team’s efforts. Haaland beat five other nominees to the award. Crystal Palace’s Daichi Kamada impressed with his work rate and creativity, helping his side stay unbeaten while winning 17 duels and creating five chances.
Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh stood out with three goal contributions, scoring once and providing two assists, including excellent displays against Tottenham and Chelsea.
Sunderland’s goalkeeper Robin Roefs made 13 saves and kept two clean sheets, while teammate Granit Xhaka registered two assists and dominated midfield battles, winning 23 duels.
Arsenal’s MartÃn Zubimendi also earned recognition after scoring his first Premier League goals—a brace in the win over Nottingham Forest.
