Jamal Musiala has taken a significant step in his recovery by returning to outdoor training with Bayern Munich, marking his first session on grass since suffering a serious injury in July.
The 22-year-old German international had been sidelined for over three months after fracturing his fibula and dislocating his ankle during Bayern’s Club World Cup quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain. His rehabilitation has involved intense physiotherapy and indoor workouts, but this week he finally stepped back onto the pitch at the club’s Säbener Straße training facility.
Musiala expressed his excitement about the milestone, saying, “It felt fantastic to be back on the pitch. My foot felt good.” He completed light running drills and coordination exercises under the supervision of Bayern’s fitness coach Simon Martinello.
The club is continuing to monitor his progress closely, with no official timeline yet for his full return to competitive action. However, his presence on the training ground has been a morale boost for the squad and fans alike, signaling that his comeback is steadily approaching.
