Liverpool finally returned to winning ways in the UEFA Champions League with an emphatic 5–1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, ending their four-game winless run in all competitions.

The match began on a tense note as Frankfurt’s Rasmus Kristensen opened the scoring, but Liverpool responded swiftly through Hugo Ekitike, who netted against his former club to level before half-time. The momentum then swung decisively in Liverpool’s favour as Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konaté both scored headers, giving Arne Slot’s side a 3–1 lead at the break.

In the second half, Liverpool maintained their dominance. Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai each found the back of the net, sealing a comfortable win for the Reds. New signing Florian Wirtz impressed on his return to Germany, contributing two assists in a standout performance.

The victory marked a significant morale boost for Liverpool under manager Arne Slot, who had been under pressure following a poor run of results.
