Spain continued their flawless start to the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with a convincing 2–0 win against Georgia on Saturday at the Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero in Elche. Yeremy Pino opened the scoring in the 24th minute, finishing from close range after a composed move involving Pedri and Robin Le Normand, while Mikel Oyarzabal sealed the result in the 64th minute with a powerful free kick that curled into the top corner beyond the goalkeeper’s reach.

Spain were awarded a penalty when Ferran Torres was fouled in the box, but his effort from the spot was saved by Georgia’s goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili. Luis de la Fuente’s side dominated possession and created several chances, maintaining complete control throughout the encounter.

The victory leaves Spain with a perfect record in the qualifiers, having won all three matches so far. They now sit atop Group E with nine points, three ahead of second-placed Turkey, while Georgia remain third with three points.
