Willis, 70, was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 and later with frontotemporal dementia, a condition affecting memory, communication, and cognitive skills. He now lives in a specialized home with 24-hour medical care. Emma explained that donating his brain could help researchers understand the disease better, potentially leading to breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment.
The family hopes that this contribution will help others facing similar diagnoses and advance research into this rare disease. Willis' daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, are being guided by their mother to understand and adjust to their father's condition.
