The "Lungu Boy" hitmaker reunited with his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, and her mother, Adijat, in Lagos during the Christmas celebrations. This touching reunion comes nine months after a highly publicized family drama in March 2025. At that time, Adijat accused Asake of neglecting their daughter for several years following his rise to fame. She revealed in interviews that she had supported him financially during his university days at Obafemi Awolowo University, sending money from her thrift business while he studied. Adijat claimed that after Asake's breakthrough, he distanced himself, blocking communication and failing to take responsibility for Zeenat.
The controversy intensified when Asake's father, battling health issues, also publicly called out the singer for alleged abandonment.
