Davido, the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, has placed a hefty bet on the Super Eagles to win their opening match against Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025.
He staked $25,000 (approximately N36 million) on Nigeria's Group C match, predicting a win for the three-time African champions. This isn't Davido's first time backing the Super Eagles; he previously staked $10,000 on Nigeria's World Cup playoff match against Gabon.
The Super Eagles are ranked 38th globally and are favored to win against Tanzania, ranked 112th. Davido's bet is on both teams to score, with a potential payout of $96,564 (about N140 million)
