Ogala alleges that she left her troubled marriage and entrusted ₦45 million to Okafor based on his promise to marry her. However, Okafor has since married another woman, Pearl, which Ogala claims is a breach of their agreement.
In court documents, Ogala's lawyers, Synergy Law Partners, demanded ₦1 billion in damages, citing emotional and psychological trauma, including suicidal ideations and recurring panic attacks. The lawyers also alleged reputational damage within the Actors Guild of Nigeria and exposure to false online insinuations.
Ogala claims to have evidence, including chat records, screen recordings, and a video, to support her allegations. She had previously shared screenshots and video clips on social media, which showed dates and phone numbers.
Pastor Okafor has not publicly responded to the allegations, but his wedding to Pearl was attended by several prominent Nigerian pastors.
The lawsuit has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting Ogala's decision to take legal action and others questioning her motives.
