Sokratis Papastathopoulos has risked the wrath of Liverpool fans after suggesting the Reds will be easier to defend against than Burnley.
Arsenal have two wins from two Premier League games this season, including a 2-1 victory over Burnley in their most recent match.
Unai Emery takes his side to Anfield on Saturday and after a tough game against Burnley, Sokratis believes defending against Liverpool will not be as difficult.
‘It is a different game. Maybe it is more easy, because you don’t have to fight a lot – but they also play football,’ he said.

‘If they are on good day and you are having a bad day, it is hard. In the end, we know that it is difficult and we respect Liverpool a lot.
‘But I think the best [way] is to go and play our style of game. We will see what happens.’
Arsenal will have David Luiz at their disposal at Anfield, a player very familiar with Liverpool after two previous spells with Chelsea.
Liverpool are being tipped to launch another title tilt this season, but Sokratis believes his partnership with Luiz will be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League.
‘I have known him for a lot of years,’ Sokratis said of Luiz.
‘He also speaks some Greek and is a very good guy.

‘I am happy also that we took a player like him, with experience.
‘When I was in Dortmund I played with Hummels, who has the same style as David. It was also a very good partnership and it is very good (now with Luiz).
‘It was his first game, it is important that we won and we can go from here.’
